One journey changed how I saw the world.
Over 30 years ago, I traveled to Spain and discovered a rich Islamic heritage hidden in plain sight. I saw it in the names of cities and rivers, in the language, and in the architecture—intricate arches, tilework, and design that told a powerful story often overlooked.
As I learned more, I was deeply moved by the legacy of Muslims in Spain—their contributions to science, medicine, art, and agriculture, many of which still shape the world today.
That journey shifted my perspective and sparked a mission: to share these stories through travel. Because when we experience history firsthand, it doesn’t just inform us—it connects us, and it changes us.
